No one can deny that times are tough. But there is one, Jesus Christ, who we can put our trust in knowing that he will provide all of our needs no matter the circumstance.
“And my God will supply all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19
All your needs.
Those three little words carry such weight and significance. They speak of a God who loves his children with an unfailing, unchanging love that isn’t affected by your choices or the state of the world.
Maybe today you’re feeling stressed or worried because we are living in a time that is full of unease.
Because gas prices are at an all time high.
Because there are food shortages.
Because there are rumors of doom and destruction.
Because your finances are not what you’d hoped they’d be.
Because your dreams have been put on hold.
Because others are speaking against you.
Because you are struggling at work.
The fears and worries of life are endless. We could create an unending list of all the troubles of life that cause us to be afraid.
But that wouldn’t bring relief, would it? Nor would it bring peace or security.
In these difficult days, only His love can be your security. No amount of home preparation, money, medication or even building a home off-grid in the forests of South Dakota (yes, I’ve considered this) will save you.
God promises to be our provider and protector. The hope for the hopeless. The rest for the weary. The confidence for the fearful. And the freedom for the captives.
All that you need He is.
